New Information

Not everyone wants new information - people are not wired up to even be able to recognize it. Once they have some books, some "association" with other "similarly-persuaded" people, and a few months/years invested in the jargon/doctrine, it becomes nigh on to impossible - rigid doesn't begin to cover it. They believe, that as they "progress", they will become MORE open-minded, MORE awake, MORE able to hear others, and think objectively, but experience always shows just the opposite - the old are not wiser, just much older, and much more tired. And, if someone enters their little "group", and dares offer some competing ideas and viewpoints, they are immediately hassled, dumped on, and expelled.

What do you think all this, "trying to wake up" is really about?? Waking up? Being conscious of your toes, knees and elbows all day? Composing ever longer, ever more frequent theories about your current theories? You don't even know WHY you want to do it - you say you do, you think and believe you do, but you don't even know WHY you, and not someone else. Your theories about that are completely subjective, and impotent.

All ways to enlightenment can be categorized as either direct or indirect ways. Direct ways are very rare and require a conscious, enlightened individual to direct those who are interested in learning and experiencing more, for the primary purpose of change of being. Indirect ways are very common and consist only of interested individuals engaged primarily in the discussion about enlightenment, for the primary purpose of feeling good about their association and participation.

If you are involved with an indirect way - or have no direct connection to someone who is more advanced than you - then you are treading water. Your view of the shore may occasionally change, but you're going nowhere, and will never see what's over the horizon. That's the fear, and the terror of the situation - to spend a lifetime believing you're on this "spiritual quest", only to discover you're deluded - and it effectively blocks the receipt of anything New.

What if there was New Information about Waking up, new maps, new viewpoints, that you'd never heard of? What if the bibles you study - written decades/centuries ago - were so out of date, as to be all but useless? How could you ever know this? Think about that. HOW?? Having your bibles, and reading and talking about them, only reinforces the belief that they are the all and everything - and there's nothing more needed. So, what's it going to take to insert a New Thought into your system, that CAN question that belief?

Clue: You've got to hear about it from someone, someone alive - not some dusty old book you found in the library - someone alive, kickin' and willing to tell you.
